My name is Vildana Hodzic and I received my Bachelor’s in English, with a minor in Psychology at Montclair State University. I was born in Germany during the end of the Bosnian Genocide, after my parents fled Bosnia as refugees. In 2000, we moved to the United States where we became citizens. Due to my life experiences, I have become passionate about helping people who are refugees and are seeking asylum. I am currently in a Master’s program in Clinical Psychology, and plan on attending a doctoral program in the same field. I plan to apply my skills and training to be of support to people with any type of mental illness, and to help educate others on this topic.
